Volunteers Help Support Our Mission
Community Hospital Health Foundation wishes to recognize our numerous volunteers for their time, talent and treasure that they contribute to our organization. Many goals are accomplished through their dedication. Volunteer activities coupled with the many charitable gifts we receive are what give the foundation the resources to do ‘behind the scenes’ work for Community Hospital’s programs and projects. We continually strive to help donors feel that their gifts improve the healthcare outcomes for the people we serve.
Community Hospital Health Foundation’s Board of Directors is made up of ten volunteer members that meet every other month to discuss and determine the best way to support Community Hospital through donor contributions. Two very active volunteer committees meet throughout the year to help make sure that our special events, the John Mullen Pro-Am and An Evening for Hospice, are well planned and implemented. Many of our board members and special committee members have been a part of the foundation’s mission for several years.
Currently, there is a volunteer committee working on the Campaign for Health, Hope and Healing. For more than a year they have been helping create awareness and support for the new healing garden at Community Hospital. The garden is just one more way in which the focus of patient centered care has taken on new meaning. Not only do our patients receive quality clinical care from our skilled and compassionate physicians and staff, but now, with the addition of a beautiful, inviting garden we are able to add an environment of passive healing for the mind and spirit.
Our countless volunteers understand and believe in the mission of Community Hospital Health Foundation, “To generate funds to secure the future of Community Hospital by stimulating public awareness and support”. With their help, and the commitment of all our donors, we will continue to support Community Hospital’s many programs and services for years to come. We sincerely thank you for your support to Community Hospital Health Foundation.
