Outstanding Surgical Care

You don’t need to travel far and wide for exceptional surgical care. Our new, state-of-the-art surgery wing will be finished in March. This 26,000 square foot space will include the latest technology for the highest level of patient comfort, safety and security, with:

Private pre- and post-surgery rooms with more space for family members
Three larger, technologically advanced operating suites plus room for future expansion
Two fully-equipped endoscopy suites
High definition scopes, brighter lighting, and computer integration for exceptional levels of patient safety

Community Hospital can accommodate a broad range of outpatient and inpatient procedures. Many of the procedures are performed as same day/outpatient surgery. Types of surgeries include general, orthopedic, orthopedic spine, podiatry, urology, ear, nose and throat, obstetric/gynecological, endoscopic procedures and ophthalmologic. Anesthesia coverage is available 24 hours a day. Epidural steroids are available for pain management.

We now have two, full-time general surgeons on staff. Both offer a diverse range of patient-centered surgical procedures, including endoscopy, laparoscopic and intro-abdominal procedures, breast surgery, hernias and limited head and neck procedures.

In addition, we have a total of five visiting orthopedic surgeons who perform arthroscopies, general orthopedic, hand, spine, and total joint procedures on a regular basis.
