Orthopedic Surgery - General
Dr. Bissell is associated with North Platte Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Associates. He specializes in general orthopedic surgery including fracture care and joint replacement. In addition, he has extra training and sub-specializes in sports including hip arthroscopy for labral tears and femoracetabular impingement, shoulder arthroscopy for rotator cuff tears, labral tears and instability and knee arthroscopy for ACL tears, meniscus tears and other sports injuries.
He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Vermont Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, Vermont. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine/shoulder at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Bissell was an assistant team physician for the University of Michigan athletic teams.
