Orthopedic Surgery - Spine
David A. Benavides, M.D., an orthopedic spine surgeon, is associated with Central Nebraska Spinal Surgery Center in Kearney. His services include disk replacements, minimally invasive spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, carpal tunnel release, and spinal surgery, which includes herniated discs in the neck and back, spinal instrumentation, spinal fusions and spinal tumors. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Benavides received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Galveston, Texas in 1988. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Texas A & M University, College of Medicine at Temple, Texas from 1989 to 1993. Dr. Benavides also completed a fellowship in spinal surgery with South Texas Orthopedic and Spinal Surgery Associates, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas from 1993 to 1994.
