Clubs and service organizations in McCook and the surrounding area needing a speaker may be interested in contacting the Community Hospital Speakers Bureau, according to Candy Crosby, Public Relations Coordinator.
The Speakers Bureau brochure, which was recently updated, now includes 23 speakers—all Community Hospital employees. “Community Hospital is committed to helping improve the overall health of the communities we serve,” Crosby said. “Our speakers offer professional insights on a wide range of interesting and important topics, whether you are a business leader interested in new methods for controlling healthcare costs or a women’s group desiring more information on the many issues of women’s health,” Crosby said.
Speakers offer a variety of other topics—46 in all— including arthritis, diabetes, hospice, athletic injuries, incontinence, balance and fall prevention, organ and tissue donation, elderly safety and smoking cessation, to name a few.
Presenters are available at no charge to speak to interested community groups, professional organizations, schools and industries. Although they do not charge to speak, there may be a charge for mileage and other expenses outside Community Hospital’s service area.
To find out more information about the Speakers Bureau, call or email Crosby at 308-345-8340 to request a brochure (ccrosby@chmccook.org).
