Dari Olson - Caring Kind 2015

Dari OlsonDari Olson, Community Hospital Safety Director, was honored in October as Community Hospital’s 2015 Caring Kind recipient during the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) annual convention in La Vista. During the convention, Olson was a guest at the Caring Kind luncheon along with other recipients from across the state.

Dari has been working at Community Hospital since 1985, creating a culture of safety. Dari has guided the employee education and training since 1995. She was instrumental in forming the SONAR organization, which is dedicated to health care safety. Dari is very involved in emergency management, disaster, FEMA and NIMS training in the area, as well. She is a wonderful mentor and team player, and she shows respect and appreciation for the great work of her co-workers. Dari frequently volunteers her time to help others with various tasks and projects at Community Hospital and in the community. She is compassionate and strives to find the best in everyone. She can put a positive spin on just about everything and doesn’t focus on the negative. Dari is well deserving of this award for she is truly a “Caring Kind” individual and outstanding Community Hospital employee and leader.

She and her husband, Jim, have two daughters, Jessica and Michelle and five grandchildren.
