2016-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Four- and Five-Star Hospital

In 2016, Community Hospital was recognized and received 14 awards for Top Performer, 5-Star and 4-Star for Patient Experience and Employee Engagement by national healthcare research leader Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). The hospital was honored with the awards during the 2016 Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Miami, Florida, May 18-21. Six Community Hospital employees attended the conference and received the awards.

2015-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital received several 5-Star national Professional Research Consultants awards in 2015:

  • Overall Quality of Care Awards for Outpatient Services, Outpatient Laboratory Services, Inpatient Medical Service, Inpatient Services and Inpatient Surgical Services
  • HCAHP Pain Management in Inpatient Services award

2014-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Four- and Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital was honored as a 5-Star hospital receiving nine National Excellence in Healthcare Awards from Professional Research Consultants in 2014. The awards were determined by the Voice of the Customer through patient perception telephone surveys of Community Hospital patients and employee surveys.Community Hospital received the following awards:

2013 National Excellence in Health Award

Community Hospital received a 2013 National Excellence in Healthcare Award by Professional Research Consultants (PRC). The hospital was honored as a 5-Star Customer Service Hospital in Inpatient Overall Quality of Care.

Data for the award is derived solely from the Voice of the Customer—patient surveys conducted by PRC. The survey is conducted to obtain the opinions of Community Hospital patients via telephone as a confidential interview. The surveys assessed patient perceptions of the overall care they received during the 2012 calendar year. Research findings were then presented to the hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of employee and patient satisfaction.

The 5-Star award designation is given annually to healthcare facilities that score in the top ten percent (i.e., at or above the 90th percentile) of PRC’s national client database for the prior calendar year. It is based on the percentage of hospital patients who rate the facility “excellent” for the Overall Quality of Care question.

2009-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Four- and Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital was named as a 2009 PRC 4-Star & 5-Star Customer Service Hospital in inpatient services and emergency room services for Patient Perception at an awards luncheon held at the New Orleans Marriott. Hospital leaders from across the United States, including five employees from Community Hospital, gathered here to participate in the 2009 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants, Inc.

Community Hospital received the following awards:

  • 5-Star: Emergency Department—Overall Quality of Care
  • 4-Star: Inpatient Services—Overall Quality of Care

The patient survey was conducted to obtain the opinions of Community Hospital patients via telephone for a confidential interview. The research findings were then presented to the hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of employee and patient satisfaction.

2008-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Four- and Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital was named as a 2008 PRC 4-Star and 5-Star Hospital in its Patient Perception and Employee Perception studies at an awards dinner held at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor in May. Hospital leaders from across the United States gathered here to participate in the 2008 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants, Inc. Community Hospital received awards in the following areas:

Research for the above studies is conducted by PRC to obtain the opinions of the patients and employees at Community Hospital to assess their perceptions of the hospital. The research findings are then presented to the hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of both patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. 2007-Community Hospital Honored as PRC Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital was named as a 2007 PRC 5-Star Hospital at an awards dinner held this summer in Florida. Tom Carpenter, Vice President Public Relations and Human Resources and three other Community Hospital employees, participated in the 2007 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants, Inc.

The hospital received the 5-Star Emergency Room Overall Quality of Care award based on high scores from the patient satisfaction survey.

Patient surveys are conducted on an on-going basis to obtain the opinions of Community Hospital patients via telephone for a confidential interview. The surveys assess patient perceptions of the overall care they receive. Research findings are then continually available to the hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of patient satisfaction.

“Focusing on quality patient care in the emergency room has been our goal,” said Darcie Johnson, RN, Emergency Room and Trauma Nurse Coordinator. “We want to provide excellent care and to meet or exceed our patient’s expectations.”

2006 Community Hospital Honored as PRC Four- and Five-Star Hospital

Community Hospital was named as a 2006 PRC 4-Star and 5-Star Hospital at an awards dinner held in June at The Qwest Center Omaha. Hospital leaders from across the United States gathered to participate in the 2006 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants, Inc. Community Hospital received the following awards based on high scores from the employee satisfaction survey:

2005 Community Hospital was named as a PRC 4- and 5-Star Customer Service Hospital

Community Hospital was named as a 2005 PRC 4-Star and 5-Star Customer Service Hospital at an awards luncheon held at The Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch. Hospital leaders from across the United States gathered here to participate in the 2005 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by Professional Research Consultants, Inc. Community Hospital was awarded for its high scores in its employee perception survey and patient survey. Awards received were:
