Caring Kind Award Recipients

Agnes Real - Caring Kind 1981

Agnes RealA ray of sunshine at 6:00 am or at 4:00 in the afternoon best describes Agnes Real. A quiet humble person who enjoys living and helping other people. At the time you least expect her and yet need a friend the most, Agnes will appear with her “surprise sunshine basket” of friendship.

The demanding job of Senior Ward Clerk is no small task! Yet she joyfully tackles the job each day with enthusiasm and a spirit of eagerness that is hard to surpass. Anyone needing assistance from the doctor to the employee or a family member of the patient, turns to Agnes. No matter how busy she is or how many people are asking for her help, she is calm, pleasant, and anxious to be of service. An employee of Community Hospital for 15 years, she is the first Ward Clerk the hospital ever had. She had been a nursing assistant prior to becoming a Ward Clerk.

Agnes is married and they have two children; both married also. The 3 granddaughters are a deep source of pride and she loves babysitting as time permits. She also collects receipts and enjoys reading and playing cards.

Agnes Real’s greatest joy in life is to “help someone” and feels her job is a rewarding one. A remarkable, one of a kind person. Community Hospital is most fortunate to have a “Caring Kind” employee such as Agnes Real.
