For the past twelve years LouAnn Stensvad’s professional caring attitude has greeted patients who are preparing for surgery at Community Hospital. Her cheerful, calming presence in a stressful situation helps put patients at ease as she explains what to expect during the procedures. She can be described as a sensitive, caring and giving individual who goes out of her way to make sure the patient is comfortable. Not only are her nursing responsibilities carried out accurately and competently, LouAnn makes patients feel very special and individual with her one-on-one care. LouAnn excels in patient teaching, working with children if she were their mother, teenagers interested in health careers with special enthusiasm and adults with dignity and respect. She is cheerful, optimistic, and willing to help co-workers with out being asked. Overall, LouAnn is simply a very giving caring person.
