Joining Community Hospital in 1985, Peg has many duties including nursing, infection control, risk management and utilization review / skilcare. Peg is versatile and has continued to keep her nursing skills sharp. She is always there to ensure our patients receive the quality care that Community Hospital is known for. She is a good listener, sincere, cares about everyone as a person, whether it is an employee, doctor, family member or patient; she truly works from the heart. Peggy started an emergency fund to help employees in time of family illness or to assist patients. She is willing to work with patients and families to help out or find the answers they need. Peg always has a smile and a kind word of encouragement for fellow employees. For her commitment to our facility Peg Smalley deserves the Caring Kind award.
