CH and McCook Clinic Finalize Agreement
McCook, Neb. – Community Hospital is excited to announce the official signing of the contract to acquire the assets of McCook Clinic, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services for the region.
This agreement represents the start of a new chapter as both teams unite under a shared commitment to deliver exceptional care to our patients and community. The transition is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2025.
To ensure a seamless process, Community Hospital and McCook Clinic have been holding weekly meetings to address critical aspects of the integration, including patient care, billing, information systems, and human resources processes. These efforts reflect the goal of both organizations to provide uninterrupted, high-quality healthcare services throughout the transition period.
“In the 21 years I’ve been part of the hospital team, our focus has been on improving care for our patients,” explains Troy Bruntz, Community Hospital President and CEO. “Together, we’ve built state-of-the-art facilities, expanded access to specialized care with medical and radiation oncology, and increased the availability of visiting specialists. This important step with the McCook Clinic will further improve our ability to offer a seamless continuum of care for our patients.”
According to Bruntz, plans for a new clinic are underway, designed to welcome three additional providers in 2026 and accommodate future growth—ensuring that patients will have access to quality, compassionate care. Community Hospital is committed to meeting the challenges ahead, continuing to focus on what matters most: leading our region to a healthier future through progressive and proactive care.
