Dear Partner in Healthcare:

“Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others” - Booker T. Washington

If you were ever in doubt about whether or not your gifts make a difference for others, let me share how charitable gifts received in 2015 were distributed. Some gifts were restricted to specific services such as cancer care, scholarships or hospice support. Still other gifts were given without restrictions. The following is an example of how unrestricted gifts were applied to improve healthcare for the people we serve:

$51,670 - Equipment

  • AED Units for Knights of Columbus Hall and Red Willow Community Building
  • Sonifi On-Demand Movie Subscription for Patient Viewing
  • BioFire Instrumentation for Laboratory
  • Sit to Stand Assistance Equipment for Inpatient Use
  • Teaching models: IV Arm, OB Mannequin, CPR Mannequin & Teaching Lungs

$15,163 - Patient Education

  • Cancer Support Group
  • New Moms Books
  • Quit Tobacco Supplies
  • Pediatric Pitfalls Conference
  • Community Para-Medicine Program

For the convenience of our agricultural producers, donations of commodities are welcome as charitable gifts. Additionally, for those who are taking mandatory distribution from their retirement accounts, donations can be gifted directly to the foundation for a charitable exclusion. Please contact Community Hospital Health Foundation for more information.

We hope you are never in a position where you need assistance for your healthcare. However, if you are, rest assured your generosity today will come full circle for you.
