Mental Health Counselor

Tanya utilizes core counseling skills, focusing on cultural sensitivity and communication skills. Other comprehensive services encompass a range of therapies including behavioral modification skills for children, drug and alcohol addiction counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, group play, and music therapy. She will see patients of all ages.

She has a special education degree and taught for one year in McCook before deciding to return to school to pursue her counseling degree. Tanya graduated August 5 with a Masters in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University in Minnesota. While completing her counseling degree, Tanya worked at Community Hospital as an intern in the behavioral health department.
