Community Hospital Receives Excellence in Healthcare Awards

Community Hospital was honored with 17 awards including two Awards of Distinction from Professional Research Consultants, a research company based in Omaha. The awards, which also included three Top Performer awards, were determined by the Voice of the Customer through patient perception telephone surveys of Community Hospital patients and online employee surveys.

Patient surveys were conducted by telephone during a confidential interview to obtain the opinions of Community Hospital patients. The patient survey assessed perceptions of the overall care they received. Research findings are presented to Community Hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of patient satisfaction.

Nearly 95 percent of Community Hospital employees accessed an online confidential survey tool to give their perceptions of Community Hospital as a place to work. Excellent results allowed Community Hospital to achieve 11 national awards, including the two Awards of Distinction of As a Place to Work and Employee Engagement – awards the hospital has received three years in a row now.

Award of Distinction for Excellent Performance

The Award of Distinction for Excellent Performance recognizes the best of the best of PRC’s database. It is awarded to one facility which scored the highest of PRC’s national employee engagement database for the prior year based on the percentage of “Fully Engaged” or “Excellent” responses.

Top Performer Award

This honor is awarded annually to eligible facilities scoring at the 100th percentile in PRC’s national client database for the prior calendar year.

5-Star Award

This designation is awarded annually to facilities scoring in the top 10 percent (at or above the 90th percentile) of PRC’s national databases for the prior year. This award is based on the percentage of patients or employees who rate the facility as “Excellent” for the appropriate questions.

4-Star Award

This designation is presented annually to facilities scoring in the top 25 percent (75th-89.9th percentiles) of PRC’s national client database for the prior calendar year. 4-Star recognition is awarded based on the percentage of patients or employees rating the facility as “Excellent” for the appropriate questions.
