Community Hospital’s New Year’s baby was a little miss named Makeeda Marie Louise Reed born at 6:46 AM January 7. Her parents, Avion Reed and Destin Jensen, and two siblings, welcomed Makeeda. She weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 19.75 inches long. Delivering the baby was McCook Clinic family physician, Jason Blomstedt, D.O. The family recently moved to Minden but returned to McCook for the baby’s birth so they could deliver with their family doctor. Makeeda and her family received a gift basket from the hospital’s Garden View Gift Shop.
