Vaccine Booster Clinic December 9

A COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic for anyone 18 and above who has already received their COVID-19 vaccinations will be offered in McCook, according to Sharon Conroy, RN, Community Hospital Infection Preventionist.

The free COVID-19 booster clinic is Thursday, December 9 at Community Hospital’s Prairie View A meeting room. The clinic will offer Moderna booster vaccines only.

Clinic details include:

  • Thursday, December 9 from 7 am to 1 pm
  • Community Hospital Prairie View A room
  • No charge
  • Must call 308-344-8539 or 308-344-8338 to register. Leave your name and number and a Community Hospital representative will call back to confirm your appointment.
  • Bring vaccine cards to be updated
  • A mask must be worn and attendees will be screened at the vaccine clinic entrance.

Interested persons can get a booster vaccine at least six months after their second vaccination dose and 90 days post antibody treatments following a COVID-19 infection. They should contact their doctor if they have any questions about getting the booster vaccine.

Joining efforts to provide the clinic are U-Save Pharmacy, Wal-Mart Pharmacy, Farrell’s Pharmacy, Red Willow County Health Department, Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department and Community Hospital. The clinic was developed in an effort to help protect people during the holiday season.
