Community Hospital is adding an additional Ear, Nose, Throat visiting specialist to its medical staff. Scott Ballinger, MD will see patients at Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center six days each month beginning October 10. Patients can call Community Hospital Central Scheduling at 308-344-8285 to schedule an appointment. No referral is required.

Dr. Ballinger is specially trained in medical and surgical management and treatment of patient of all ages, with diseases or disorders of the ears, nose or throat. Procedures and surgeries he will provide locally include, but are not limited to: Tonsil/adenoid removal, nasal/sinus surgeries, ear tubes and ear wax removal.

He describes his personal care philosophy: “I have been specializing in otolaryngology (the medical specialty of the ears, nose, throat, and sinus) for over 20 years. It is a great honor and privilege to provide ENT medical care to the people of southwest Nebraska. As your physician, together we will develop the most effective treatment plan possible, enabling you to return to your most happy and productive ‘You.’”

He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. His residency in otolaryngology was completed at Louisiana State Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
