The money was raised from sports physicals performed by McCook Clinic and Southwest Nebraska Physical Therapy, and is donated back to the McCook Bison Booster program every year. Other Bison Boosters include Joann Barenberg and Scott Barger.

McCook, Nebraska—McCook Clinic, P.C. and Southwest Nebraska Physical Therapy recently donated $4,035 raised from last year’s sports physicals to the McCook Bison Booster program. McCook physicians, physician assistants and Community Hospital's physical therapy department, Southwest Nebraska Physical Therapy, performed 269 athletic physicals in 2017 for McCook Public Schools.

The Bison Booster donation helps to support McCook Public Schools athletic programs. The donation will help fund the weight room remodel, pole vault and high jump standards for track, racquets for tennis, a practice mat for golf and a tent for boys track.

Last year, Bison Boosters helped to purchase headsets for football, racquets for tennis, a Dr. Dish shooting machine for basketball and funds for a training room remodel, including taping tables, a whirlpool and training room supplies.

Past projects include the high school bleacher projects, a new concession building at Weiland Field, tennis courts, record boards at the high school, needs for the coaches the budget doesn’t cover, new weight room and equipment, shower project and travel equipment for all sports.
