Hip Replacement Seminar Offered

McCook, Nebraska—A free educational seminar, “Hip Replacement Surgery,” will be offered for the general public, Tuesday, July 10 at 2 p.m. at Community Hospital’s Prairie View Conference Rooms.

Dr. Pinak Shukla, Orthopedic Surgeon associated with Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center, will discuss what hip replacement surgery involves, recovery information, results and risks, and allow time for questions from the audience.

Dr. Shukla is associated with Great Plains Orthopaedics in North Platte and sees patients as a visiting specialist in McCook twice a month. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Shukla grew up in Chicago. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois College Of Medicine in Chicago in 2008, residency at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts in 2013 and a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center in 2014.
