Emergency Department Entrance Closed for About One Week

April 04, 2013

McCook, Nebraska—Beginning Monday, April 8, Community Hospital’s Emergency Department entrance will be temporarily closed for approximately one week due to construction.

Patients needing emergency care should enter the temporary emergency entrance a few feet east of the normal entrance. Volunteers will be available during the day near the temporary entrance to help patients find their way to the emergency room admissions desk. Community Hospital staff will be available in the evenings to do the same. The door will be locked in the evenings, but the after hours emergency buzzer was temporarily relocated to this door to alert staff.

Signage will be posted to direct patients. The temporary door will be used until the emergency department entrance is re-opened. During this time, it will be more convenient for visitors and outpatients to use the front entrance of the hospital.
