New Massage Therapist at Community Hospital

August 07, 2013

McCook, Nebraska—A new massage therapist, Kelly Catt, Licensed Massage Therapist, joined Community Hospital’s staff last week. Kelly was born and raised in McCook and graduated from the Denver School of Massage Therapy at Westminster, Colorado in 2007.

She will be providing full-time massage therapy services at Community Hospital, providing a variety of types of massage including: Swedish, full body, acupressure, reflexology, deep tissue, injury massage, trigger point, sports massage, cranial-sacral, and more.

Kelly’s two favorite types of massage include injury massage and reflexology, “because I really see the benefits of these types of massages when I work on patients,” but she likes to incorporate specific types of massage in her sessions depending on what the client needs.

“The opportunity to work at Community Hospital providing massage therapy is really exciting to me because massage is my passion,” she said. “I believe that massage is beneficial for everyone,” explaining the benefits of working on athletes both pre-event and post-event, on pregnant women and newborn babies and even the elderly who may need a light touch due to arthritis and fragile skin. Her passion carries through in her mission statement: “Healing by touch, one body at a time.”

Massages are provided in Community Hospital’s Rehabilitation Center. A 15-minute chair massage is $25, 30-minute massage, $35 and a one-hour massage, $55.

To make hospital stays more pleasant, Kelly will offer massage to inpatients on a complimentary basis as time allows.

For appointments call Community Hospital's Rehabilitation Center at 308-344-8383. Insurance will not be billed for this service. Payment collected at time of service. Gift certificates are also available.
