New Visiting Interventional Cardiologist Seeing Patients

McCook, Nebraska—Ravishankar Kalaga, M.D., a physician specializing in interventional cardiology from North Platte, began seeing patients at Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center in September. Dr. Kalaga is in practice full-time at the Great Plains Heart and Vascular Center in North Platte and joins physicians DeBenedetti, Dotsenko, Markiewicz and Nelluri.

He will see patients in McCook the first Wednesday of each month. A physician referral is not necessary. Call the Community Hospital Central Scheduling office at 308-344-8285 to make an appointment.

Dr. Kalaga is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in internal medicine, interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease.

He graduated from Andhra Medical College, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, AP, India. He completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Fellowships were completed for cardiology at Yale University School of Medicine, Bridgeport, Connecticut and University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
