New Visiting Nephrologist Seeing Patients

McCook, Nebraska—A new visiting nephrologist, Pushkar Kanade, M.D. from North Platte, began seeing patients at Community Hospital in February. He will see patients at Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center on the third Friday of each month.

Dr. Kanade specializes in chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, pre-end-stage kidney disease, lupus nephritis, kidney stones, diabetic nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, high blood pressure, Proteinuria (protein in the urine) and hematuria (blood in the urine).

He is committed to helping patients maintain good health while navigating complex lifestyles. Dr. Kanade strongly believes in providing excellent patient-centered care combining the latest knowledge in kidney disease management and communication.

He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Kanade graduated from B.J. Medical College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University and his fellowship in nephrology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital /Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School.

He is associated with Great Plains Nephrology in North Platte and also has an outreach clinic in Valentine. Dr. Kanade is replacing Dr. Ronald Asher, nephrologist, who is retiring.
