New Visiting Neurologist to See Patients

A new visiting neurologist, Anil Kumar, M.D. from Great Plains Health in North Platte, will begin seeing patients at Community Hospital on Friday, April 28. He will normally see patients at Community Hospital’s Medical Specialists Center the third Friday of each month.

Dr. Kumar specializes in migraine headaches, seizure disorders, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, traumatic brain injury, muscular dystrophy, ALS, movement disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, memory loss, Parkinson’s disease and diabetic neuropathies.

He completed medical school at Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post-Grad Institute of Medical Sciences, India; completed his internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center, Darby, Pennsylvania; and completed his residency at Hahnemann University Hospital (Drexel University College of Medicine), where he also completed his fellowship in neurophysiology.

Dr. Kumar joined Great Plains Neurosciences Clinic in 2014. His wife, Dr. Renu Kadian, is a hospitalist at Great Plains Health. They have two children.
