Orthopedic Spine Surgeon Presenting Neck Pain Program

Community Hospital is offering a program to the public, “My Aching Neck…Why do I hurt?” on Thursday, February 5 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Community Hospital Prairie View Room at 1301 East H Street in McCook.

Presenter is orthopedic spine surgeon, David Benavides, M.D., whose services include disk replacements, minimally invasive spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, carpal tunnel release, and spinal surgery, which includes herniated discs in the neck and back, spinal instrumentation, spinal fusions and spinal tumors.

A complimentary dinner will be provided at 5:30 p.m. with Dr. Benavides speaking at 6:00 p.m. Those interested in attending should RSVP to 308-344-8255 by Monday February 2. Please leave a message with your name, phone number, and number of people in your party.

Dr. Benavides is associated with Central Nebraska Spinal Surgery Center in Kearney.

Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Benavides received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Galveston, Texas in 1988 and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Texas A & M University, College of Medicine at Temple, Texas from 1989 to 1993.

Dr. Benavides also completed a fellowship in spinal surgery with South Texas Orthopedic and Spinal Surgery Associates, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas from 1993 to 1994.
