The event kicked off with an overcast, cool morning, resulting in cooler than average temperatures for June – a welcome change appreciated by all. Seven new pros joined the event this year and four new amateur teams.
The day featured a SHAMBLE tournament format, with various opportunities for fun on the course, including a State Farm Insurance Hole-in-One challenge, a Community Healthcare and Hospice Shamble Gamble, a Sports Medicine Cheater’s Hole, and even the opportunity to drive from a home health and hospice commode for those feeling daring.
The event concluded with the Ron Coleman Memorial HorseRace and a reception in the clubhouse, celebrating the success of the tournament and the generous support of all participants and sponsors.
The funds raised from this event will support vital equipment and services, including home health and hospice, patient assistance, cancer care, and more. These contributions make a significant impact on the lives of many in southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas.
Nate Vontz, who led the Pro Division with a round of -4, congratulated by Justin West, Heritage Hills Golf Course Pro.
