In this season of hope and new beginnings, Community Hospital is proud to announce an enhancement to its obstetric services: the Jada® Postpartum Hemorrhage System. This obstetric system, designed to prevent emergent situations, helps prevent excessive bleeding following the birth of a baby.

This obstetric addition was made possible through a collaborative effort between Community Hospital, Community Hospital Health Foundation, and a generous matching contribution from the McCook Clinic Medical Staff. Nicole Olsen, Obstetric Coordinator, led the charge in implementing this new advancement, which provides a rapid response to blood loss following delivery.

The Jada System employs gentle suction to encourage continuous uterine contractions, effectively managing bleeding following delivery. “This new system helps prevent excessive blood loss and reduces the risk of emergent situations,” said Olsen. “With updated hospital protocols and fully trained staff, we are prepared to respond quickly and effectively.” The Jada System provides another critical resource for our obstetric team, empowering them to deliver exceptional care when it matters most.

Access to obstetric services is increasingly scarce in rural areas, but Community Hospital remains unwavering in its dedication to mothers and babies in Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas.
