McCook, Neb. – Community Hospital announces the sale of its Community HealthCare and Hospice service line to Angels Care Home Health and Angels Care Hospice, managed by AngMar Management Services, a company nationally recognized for its expertise in home health and hospice care.

This strategic transition ensures the continued availability of vital hospice and home health services to patients across southwest Nebraska. The decision was made with careful consideration, recognizing both the critical need for these services and the opportunity to place them in the hands of a provider whose core competency is home health and hospice care.

“Our top priority has always been ensuring that patients in our region have access to compassionate, high-quality care,” said Troy Bruntz, President and CEO of Community Hospital. “While it’s difficult to part with a service line that has meant so much to our organization and community, we are confident that Angels Care will carry this work forward with the same heart and excellence. This transition also supports the long-term sustainability of Community Hospital, allowing us to focus on our broader mission of care.”

Angels Care Home Health has been expanding its footprint in Nebraska, operating similar service lines in Columbus, Grand Island, and Kearney, with Angels Care Hospice working exclusively in Omaha. “We are looking forward to working closely with the Community Hospital team in order to continue the excellent home care the communities they serve have historically received,” said Tony Miller, Chief Operating Officer for AngMar Management Services.  “Being from a small town myself, I have a passion for rural communities.  The current home health and hospice landscape continues to force more and more small companies to close every year, thus leaving the people of those communities without high quality options for home care.  Our intention is to be that high quality option for home care in this area for many years and reduce any fears associated with decreased access to care.  I look forward to Angels Care Home Health and Angels Care Hospice becoming an asset to the hospital and all of the communities we now have the opportunity to serve. Our mission is “To Serve Patients” and we feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to serve them here.”

Community Hospital will continue to work closely with Angels Care to ensure a smooth transition for patients, families, and staff. The hospital also recognizes the exceptional dedication of its Community HealthCare and Hospice team, whose compassion and professionalism have made a lasting impact on countless lives. The administration remains committed to supporting these staff members throughout the transition and beyond.
