McCook, Neb. — The Community Hospital Health Foundation is proud to announce Sean Wolfe as the recipient of the 2026 Anne Morse Award for Exemplary Volunteer Service, recognizing his outstanding commitment to serving others and strengthening the McCook community. Sean has also been named the May McCook Volunteer of the Month, an honor celebrating individuals who make a meaningful impact through service.

The Anne Morse Award honors individuals whose dedication to volunteerism reflects the highest standards of compassion, service, and leadership. The award is named in memory of Ellen Marie “Annie” Morse, a registered nurse, Army veteran, and longtime Community Hospital Auxiliary volunteer who contributed more than 20,000 hours of service.

Sean Wolfe, who serves as Chief Financial Officer at Community Hospital, exemplifies the spirit of this award through his deep and ongoing commitment to community service. Beyond his professional role, he is an engaged volunteer with the McCook Community Foundation, McCook Public Library, Knights of Columbus, and St Patrick Church. Known for his generosity and approachability, Sean readily offers guidance to individuals seeking help with financial and tax-related questions—often stepping in to assist without hesitation.

In addition to his leadership and service across the community, Sean extends his volunteer efforts to Community Healthcare and Hospice and Community Hospital, where he steps in whenever needed—whether assisting with patient transportation or supporting others in quiet, behind-the-scenes ways that help operations run smoothly. He is quick to help wherever needed, whether setting up a room, tearing down after an event, or assisting with tours—no task is too big or too small.

More importantly, Sean is deeply committed to the people he serves. He takes the time to truly care about individuals and what they are going through, offering not just help, but compassion and understanding. Those who nominated Sean emphasized that his service is not defined by any single act, but by a consistent and genuine desire to serve others. His actions reflect the heart of a true servant leader.

“Sean’s dedication is simply part of who he is,” shared one nominator. “He is always looking for ways to help and serve, and our community is stronger because of him.”

In conjunction with the Anne Morse Award, the Community Hospital Health Foundation has provided a $500 award in honor of Sean’s service, which he may designate to a Health Foundation fund of his choice. His name will also be added to the Anne Morse Exemplary Volunteer Recognition Bust at Community Hospital.

The McCook Volunteer of the Month program is coordinated through the McCook Philanthropy Council and recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to serving the community.
