Description:
The Surgical Services Aide will perform various direct patient care duties in the endoscopy suites under the supervision of a physician, including:
- Preparing patients for GI procedures.
- Preparing the medical instruments and equipment used during the endoscopic procedures.
- Maintaining clean endoscopy suites by setting up rooms, cleaning instruments and maintaining GI equipment.
- Providing assistance removing polyps and taking biopsies.
- Disinfecting the endoscopes and other equipment before each procedure and storing them appropriately each day.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification obtained within 2 years of hire
- BLS preferred
- Nurse Aide certification preferred
