Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Lawton specializes in sports medicine and joint replacement of the hips, knees, and shoulders. He also provides care for arthritis, fractures, and other injuries. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Colorado College in Colorado Springs; his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from DePaul University in Chicago; and his Doctor of Medicine from Emory University in Atlanta.

During his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, he served as a team physician to the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, and U.S. ski team. He also completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
