Oct. 8 Concert for Healthcare Entertainment Announced

March 17, 2022

A lot of toe tapp’n will be happen’n at the Kiplinger Arena, Red Willow Fairgrounds, on Saturday, October 8 when Jerrod Niemann presents his Ghost Rider Tour. The intimate, yet energizing show will help raise funds for Community Hospital Health Foundation’s Concert for Healthcare. Doors open at 6 pm. Nashville recording group, BEXAR, opens at 6:30pm and Jerrod Niemann cranks out the songs beginning at 8 pm.

Niemann has always been one of a kind. Since the day his chart-topping major-label debut, “Lover, Lover,” announced him as a truly original voice, Jerrod Niemann has been that guy—a little edgier, a little cooler, maybe just a bit off-center in the best possible way.

Always willing to stretch country’s modern and elastic boundaries, he hit the ground running as an artist with a sound that stood out and a compelling visual presence. Following “Lover, Lover” was a string of hits including “What Do You Want,” “One More Drinkin’ Song,” the chart-topping “Drink to That All Night,” and “A Little More Love” with his friend and sometimes touring partner Lee Brice.

Opening for Niemann will be Warner Music Nashville’s rising country band BEXAR (pronounced ‘bear’), comprised of Chris Ryan and Logan Turner. Their debut six-track EP (Extended Play) showcases BEXAR’s fresh and expressive sound, with all tracks co-written by at least one band member. BEXAR gets its name from Bexar County, TX, where Ryan spent much of his childhood.

The EP is already receiving stellar reviews from Billboard, Rolling Stone and more, with MusicRow proclaiming “…put this on your playlist at once.” Since their 2018 self-released EP, the band has accumulated over 40 million streams to date, has been named to MusicRow’s Next Big Thing Class of 2022, Sounds Like Nashville’s 2021 Artists To Watch list and have started their own podcast, The BEXAR Den. American Songwriter’s The Zak Kuhn Show summarized the BEXAR brand well by stating, “these guys are going to make you wish you were in a band.”

The Concert for Healthcare is one of two major hospital fundraising events. Tickets are available through Ticket Storm at www.ticketstorm.com or can be purchased locally at Community Hospital Health Foundation, 711 East 11 Street.
