Community Hospital Pro-Am

35th Annual Event - June 7, 2024

The Community Hospital Pro-Am is a long standing tournament where golf professionals come together with amateur teams for a competitive fundraiser. Teams consist of four amateur players and one professional player. This one-day tournament will be a Shamble format giving players the opportunity to play their own ball after selecting the best drive. Flag prizes, cash payouts, hole-in-one contests and other friendly games add to the excitement for the amateur players.

The Pro-Am’s 34-year history as a 3-day event is changing but the focus remains the same. Since its inception, net proceeds from the Pro-Am have supported Community Hospital’s mission. Heritage Hills Golf Course is known for its high-quality design, course condition, and value.

The ever popular Ron Coleman Memorial HorseRace will be held after tournament play on Friday. Professionals will have one last shot at taking home some money. Spectators and players are invited to attend the reception and awards banquet at the completion of the HorseRace.

In 1988 the Pro-Am was initiated as the John Mullen Pro-Am by Bernie and Nona Mullen in memory of their son, John, who died of cancer at the age of 23. John was an avid and accomplished golfer and was briefly employed as an assistant golf pro. In the fall 2018, after 30 successful years and at the request of Bernie and Nona Mullen the John Mullen name was respectfully retired.
