Caring Kind Award Recipients

Linda Graff - Caring Kind 2008

Linda GraffLinda Graff, registered radiologic technologist, was honored in November as Community Hospital’s 2008 Caring Kind recipient during the Nebraska Hospital Association annual convention in Lincoln. During the convention, Graff was a guest at the Caring Kind luncheon along with other recipients from across the state.

The Caring Kind award is a time-honored tradition of the Nebraska Hospital Association. It recognizes outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with coworkers and dedication to providing the best care possible. Hospitals across the state select a Caring Kind recipient from within their respective institutions.

Graff was nominated by co-workers and chosen by the Community Hospital PACT Committee. Her nomination read: “One of the little known secrets in Community Hospital’s workforce is a tiny, but talented radiologic technologist named Linda Graff. Over the past eight years Linda has been a key player in the functioning of the Orthopedic Clinic, providing initial and follow up care for the clients that seek orthopedic treatment at Community Hospital. Linda also lends her talents to the Radiology department enabling Community Hospital to provide evening mammograms and bone density tests. Our clients and coworkers describe Linda as fun, dedicated, professional, caring, always smiling with an easy laugh. As busy and as long as the days at the Orthopedic Clinic can be, Linda maintains her sense of humor and handles all that comes her way with ease. Linda’s work ethic and many gifts define what a Caring Kind person is, and for this reason we believe that she deserves this year’s Caring Kind Award.”

Linda joined Community Hospital in April 1999. She and her husband, Mark, have three children, Jayme, Jade and Jared.
